The Administration Support Team will be key to ensuring the smooth running of the office and supporting the teams within it, they are front line to our management offices and will meet and greet numerous performing companies, artists and agencies.

£12.00 per hour
Fixed term, two roles available; one runs full time from 15 July – 29 August –and one starts 29 July – 29 August 2024. Evening and weekend work as required, you may be required to work on bank or public holidays.

    Assembly Theatre Ltd is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to take the day-to-day reins of Assembly’s beloved year-round home.

    The Roxy General Manager works with the Roxy Production Manager, the Board and a Front of House and Bar team to seek out and deliver a high quality and economically sound Performance and Event Programme across this vibrant city centre Arts Centre.

    Location: The position is based in Assembly Roxy, Edinburgh, though some home working and flexible working patterns may be considered.

    Hours: Evening and weekend work may be required. The employee is entitled to twenty-five days leave per year, plus eight public holidays, at such time as agreed in advance.
    Salary: £30,000 per annum, paid in monthly installments.

  • Edinburgh 2024 - Assembly Festival Technicians - Lighting, Sound, Stage Management and General Technicians

    We are looking for experienced, Lighting, Sound, Stage Management and General Technicians to join our Edinburgh Team. Our venues range from 50 to 800 seats.

    We hire General Tech's as well as lighting, sound and stage management specialised teams.

    Roles are available in Edinburgh to build and work in our temporary theatre venues from early July for the Jazz Festival and Food Festival (some venues only) or Mid-July and roll through until the end of August to cover the Fringe or from Early August for the Fringe dates only.

    Roles paid dependent on experience, contract length and venue size on a tier system - between £3,600 to £4,100 for the Build/Break Fringe Period.

    Staff are required to be 18+ due to the licensed nature of our sites, and have a legal right to work in the UK, no Visas are able to be offered for these roles.

  • Edinburgh Fringe 2024 - Build & Break / Site Crew

    We're looking for enthusiastic and experienced team members to join our site carpenters and Site Managers to help build and break the Festival as well as experienced site crew for the run!

    We're interested in hearing from you if you have experience in construction/carpentry/festival or event building/fencing and scaffolding and painting as well as plant operators or build crews. Roles are offered on a contract basis and run on varying dates between June an July for the build and late August to September for the break.

    There are additional site crew roles based on a full time rota across the festival.

    Roles are paid dependent on skill set and experience but are no less than £13.60 per hour.

  • Edinburgh Fringe 2024 - Street Food Team - Kitchen Staff, FoH staff and Supervisors

    Assembly’s Street Food stalls are an essential part of the Assembly Festival experience, they are the social areas where audiences and performers gather, adding to the energetic buzz of the site. As a Street Food team member, you will be on the front line, creating meals that bring smiles to punters faces and warmth to their bellies. This role is vital. We expect hard graft and an ability to work in a team with new people, creating a great working environment conducive to an amazing experience. This role requires you to be flexible and mature. Your focus will be on prepping for and serving meals and beverages, dealing with stock, keeping the food stalls and venue clean, working with other departments and being friendly to customers.

    Rate: £12 per hour for team and £14.50 for supervisor roles.

EDINBURGH 31ST JULY - 26TH AUG 2024

 

In 2023 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, a total of 868 artists came from 27 countries to perform with Assembly Festival at the world's largest arts festival.  Our programme featured a total of 3,940 performances, with over 453,000 tickets being issued to 204 shows. They were supported by a team of over 650 Assembly Festival staff, all of whom were paid at least the UK real Living Wage.  Assembly Festival’s award-winning programme garnered over 3,290 stars from the media, more stars than are present on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
