We are seeking individuals who love the performing arts, enjoy working outdoors and interacting with the public. A friendly approach and a positive attitude are essential qualities. We will provide the necessary training and support for the role so no prior experience is needed
Roles are available in Edinburgh from 03-31 August to cover the Fringe Festival and other events that we operate across the summer. All roles are fixed-term, PAYE seasonal contracts.
Roles are paid the Real Living Wage at a minimum of £13.45 per hour, paid fortnightly in arrears.
Staff are required to be 18+ due to the licensed nature of our sites, and have a legal right to work in the UK, no Visas are able to be offered for these roles.

Edinburgh Fringe 2026 - Build & Break / Site Crew

We're looking for enthusiastic and experienced team members to join our site carpenters and Site Managers to help build and break the Festival as well as experienced site crew for the run!
We're interested in hearing from you if you have experience in construction/carpentry/festival or event building/fencing and scaffolding and painting as well as plant operators or build crews. Roles are offered on a contract basis and run on varying dates between June an July for the build and late August to September for the break.
There are additional site crew roles based on a full time rota across the festival.
Roles are paid dependent on skill set and experience but are no less than £13.45 per hour.

Edinburgh Fringe 2026 - Assembly Festival Front of House Supervisors

The Front of House Supervisor will work as part of the Front of House (FOH) team to manage the smooth operation of the venues and the site before, during and after shows. The role will require an ability to manage a team and be aware of expected movements of audiences and performers, facilitating the fast turnaround between shows and to be the face of Assembly to audience members and performers.
Front of House Supervisors should be experienced within a theatre environment and have experiencing seating large venues quickly and with grace, the ability to lead a team and respond in a fast paced environment is required.
We operate 5 venue hubs so need a large team of strong customer focused and team members who are confident working with the public, are bright, bubbly and approachable.
Roles are available in Edinburgh from mid to end July and roll through until the end of August to cover the Fringe Festival and other events that we operate across the summer.
Rate of pay from £15.25 per hour, depending on venue and experience.

We’re looking for a Broadcast Coordinator to lead on the coordination of media broadcast opportunities across Assembly Festival and Edinburgh Food & Folk Festival. This role sits at the intersection of press, production and media delivery, ensuring all filming, photography and broadcast activity is delivered smoothly and effectively.
This role would suit someone with a background in broadcast, production or media logistics looking to apply their skills within a live festival setting.
The role is based in Edinburgh with contract running through July and August to cover all festival activity across the summer.
Rate of pay is £113.50 per day based on a 48hour, 6 day week. Evening and weekend work is required.

We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the delivery of marketing activity across Assembly Festival and Edinburgh Food & Folk Festival.
This is a varied, fast-paced role providing administrative and operational support across both traditional and digital marketing functions. You’ll work closely with Marketing Managers, Digital and Social teams to ensure campaigns are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
The role is ideal for someone looking to gain broad experience across marketing in a live festival environment.
The role is based in Edinburgh with contract through July and August 2026 to cover all festival activity across the summer.
Rate of pay is £107.50 per day based on a 48 hour week over 6 days. Evening and weekend work is required.

Edinburgh Fringe 2026 - Press Officer - Influencer & Media

We’re looking for a Press Officer – Influencer & Media to lead on influencer engagement and media partnerships across Assembly Festival and Edinburgh Food & Folk Festival.
This role focuses on amplifying campaign activity through creators, talent and media collaborations, ensuring our programme reaches the widest and most relevant audiences. Alongside this, the role plays an active part in supporting traditional media and public relations activity across the Press team, working closely with the Press Officer and Press Manager.
You’ll be part of a fast-paced Marketing & Communications team delivering high-impact campaigns during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe — helping shape how Assembly Festival shows are discovered, talked about and experienced.
This is a hands-on role combining creative campaign thinking with practical delivery across both influencer-led and traditional media activity.
The role is based in Edinburgh with contract running June - September to cover all festival activity across the summer.
Rate of pay is £125 per day based on a 40-48 hour week. Evening and weekend work is required.

Edinburgh Fringe 2026 - Box Office Manager

Assembly Festival is one of the world’s largest arts festival organisations, operating at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a programme of theatre, comedy, dance, cabaret and more across eight venues in the heart of Edinburgh. The Box Office Manager is a pivotal leadership role within our Box Office team, responsible for delivering an outstanding ticketing experience for our audiences, artists and producing partners throughout the festival season.
Working closely with the Head of Ticketing & Digital, you will coordinate daily box office operations across all Assembly venues, lead and develop a team of Box Office Assistants, and serve as a key liaison between the box office, visiting companies, and the wider Assembly management team. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment that demands exceptional customer service standards, meticulous attention to detail, and confident people management.
The role is available in Edinburgh from mid June and roll through until the first week of September to cover the Fringe Festival (5th - 31st August) and our Folk & Food Festival (24th July - 2nd August).
Weekly Salary: £750 per week during the six-day peak period, with a pro-rata equivalent applying during the five-day pre-festival period. Hours will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays throughout.

We expect hard graft and an ability to work in a team with new people, creating a great working environment conducive to an amazing experience. This role requires you to be flexible and mature. Your focus will be on prepping for and serving meals and beverages, dealing with stock, keeping the food stalls and venue clean, working with other departments and being friendly to customers.
Roles are paid the Real Living Wage at a minimum of £13.45 per hour, paid fortnightly in arrears.
Supervisor roles are paid from £15.25 per hour, paid fortnightly in arrears
